MVP

Victor Faria Leads the Field, and the Champions, in Scoring

EKO Staff··

Victor Faria finished as the tournament's MVP after ranking first in the field in scoring and capturing the title with TexasMade Elite. The case starts with the numbers and ends with a championship.

Across 10 games, Faria averaged 16.6 points for 166 total, knocked down 29 threes, and collected 5 Player-of-the-Game honors. He led his own team in scoring while his team won it all.

The signature night came against the WolfPack, where Faria poured in 35 points on 9 threes and took Player of the Game. He followed a similar script against the Kiowas, scoring 28 with 8 threes for another Player of the Game nod. The Spearman Lynx 5th drew 23 points and 3 more triples from him. The remaining games filled out a steady line that kept him atop the field.

The argument for Faria is built on hard evidence. He finished first in the field in scoring. He led TexasMade Elite in points. He earned coach recognition in 5 of the bracket's games, half of his appearances. The 29 threes anchored an average no one in the field topped.

When the title was on the line, Faria and TexasMade Elite closed it out. The run was the case: a field-best scoring average, 5 Player-of-the-Game games, and a championship to put a stamp on it.
