Braydon Humphrey's Scoring Run Tops the Field, MVP Earned Without the Final

EKO Staff··

Braydon Humphrey earned MVP honors with the strongest individual run in the division, leading the entire field in scoring while collecting Player-of-the-Game recognition in three of his five games.

The line tells the story. Across 5 games, Humphrey averaged 11.6 points and finished with 58 total, knocking down 6 threes along the way. TEAM HYPE did not reach the final, but Humphrey's output stood above everyone in the bracket.

His case was built game by game. Against CME KIKI he posted 20 points with a pair of threes and took Player of the Game, his signature outing of the tournament. He met CME KIKI again and added 14 points with another three, claiming Player of the Game once more. In between, he handled the GSA VIPERS for 16 points on 3 threes and a third Player of the Game nod. The remaining games filled out a steady scoring profile across the run.

The argument for Humphrey rests on the numbers. He ranked first in the field in scoring and led his own team in points. Coaches handed him Player of the Game in three of his five appearances, a tally no one else in the division matched. The threes, the per-game average, the total points, all of it points to a single conclusion that did not need adjectives.

TEAM HYPE fell short of the final, so Humphrey's run is not framed by a trophy. It is framed by everything else. He produced the best individual tournament in the division regardless of where his team finished, the rare case where the MVP's resume outpaces the bracket result. The honor followed the evidence.
