West KY Raptors Champions Crowned After 77-76 Final

EKO Staff··

The West KY Raptors are tournament champions, finishing with a 77-76 win in the title game. It is a finish their families will remember for a long time.

The Raptors went 5-0 across the event, and the path was not an easy one. They averaged 62 points scored against 46 allowed per game, a steady balance of offense and defense that held up game after game. The one-point final showed just how much these young players were tested, and they answered when it counted most.

What stands out about this team is how many hands contributed. Scoring came from all over the roster rather than one player carrying the load. Tyler Barger led the way with 74 points across the 5 games, with Cole Adams close behind at 72. Walker Thornton chipped in 47 points, and Kayne Thomas added 42. That kind of depth made the Raptors hard to slow down.

The supporting scoring mattered just as much. Wyatt Overstreet scored 28 points over the run, while Bronx McDermott and Landon Mitchell each finished with 20. When more than half the roster is putting points on the board, the whole team gets better.

The honors reflected that effort. Cole Adams was named Tournament MVP, a fitting reward after he and Tyler Barger both earned All-Tournament honors. Those two were recognized for the work they put in all week, and their teammates helped make it possible.

Every player on this roster was part of the championship. Jude Hammonds added 3 points across the 5 games, and Nick Shelbourne scored 2. Corban Adams appeared in all 5 games and was part of the group every step of the way. A title like this belongs to the entire team, and these Raptors earned it together.
