The shape of the run tells the story. The Pink Storm scored 10 points per game while holding opponents to just 6. That kind of margin came from a steady, grinding effort, where defense set the tone and every basket mattered. Across three games, the points came in small, hard-earned pieces, and the team kept finding ways to come out ahead.
This was a true team effort. Sloan Kile led the way with 20 points across the three games, the clear engine of the offense. But she had help. Gianna Bond added 4 points, while Alice Dewitt and Brylee Carreon each chipped in 2. Madyn Merkel added a point of her own. Every name on that list helped put points on the board.
The honors followed the work. Sloan Kile was named Tournament MVP, a fitting reward for leading the scoring all weekend. She joined Gianna Bond on the All-Tournament team, recognition that two of these players stood out among the very best in the field.
A title like this does not happen without the full roster. Ainsley Arruda appeared in all 3 games. So did Alina Tarango, who suited up for every game. Chandler Merkel was there for all 3, and Eliana Cervantes played in each one as well. Kai'lynn Askins appeared in all 3 games, as did Lucy Pingleton and Macy Dewitt. Each of them showed up, game after game, and was part of a champion roster.
Congratulations to the Pink Storm. A perfect record, a defense that gave nothing away, and a team that did it together. This is a championship to be proud of, and one this group will remember for a long time."}
