Perryton Bulls Crowned Champions With 37-25 Final

EKO Staff··

The road was a true test. The Bulls finished the event with a 3-2 record, winning more than they lost on their way to the crown. Across five games they averaged 28 points scored and 18 allowed, a balance that points to steady defense matched with enough offense. The title came on tired legs after five hard games, and the Bulls had the resolve to bounce back when challenged.

This was a team led by many rather than one. Anthony Martinez paced the scoring with 38 points across the five games, and Axel Castanon was right behind with 32. But the supporting cast carried real weight too. Evan Mendez chipped in 23 points and Angel Ramirez added 22, giving the Bulls four players who each found the scoring column again and again. That kind of shared load is the mark of a deep, committee-built champion.

The honors reflected the effort. Jeremiah Pena was named Tournament MVP. Both Anthony Martinez and Axel Castanon earned All-Tournament recognition, a fitting reward for the two players who topped the Bulls scoring all event long.

Every Bull played a part in the title run. Lathen Askins scored 8 points over the five games, while Elijah Garcia and Julian Escarcega each added 6. Waylon O’Dell contributed 4 points across the run. Nicolas Tarango suited up and appeared in all five games, part of the group that saw this through to the end.

From the top scorers to the deepest bench, this was a full-roster championship. The Perryton Bulls earned their crown together, and the 37-25 final stands as proof of what a team can do when everyone shows up. Congratulations to these young men on a title worth framing."}
